As the owner and primary educator at Lilybug Learning, I am actively involved in every part of your child’s day. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, respected, and supported, and I strive to create an environment where each child feels valued.
My role includes planning daily activities, guiding play-based learning experiences, supporting early development, and maintaining open communication with families. I take pride in offering care that is warm, dependable, and thoughtfully structured.
Educational Qualifications
- Educational Assistant (EA) Diploma, University of Calgary
- Effective Discipline Certification, Calgary Board of Education
- Five years teaching special education with the Calgary Board of Education
- Taught Early Literacy programming for blind youth through the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB)
- Owned and operated home day care education services for six years
Nutritional Expertise
- Food Nutrition and Management, Nova Scotia Institute of Technology
- Culinary Arts & Chef training, Nova Scotia Community College
- Product Developer, Give and Go Bakeries
- Experience with therapeutic behavioural diets to support children with special needs
Special Needs Expertise
- Experience supporting children with behavioural disorders, physical disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, and speech or articulation challenges
- Experience working collaboratively with parents and/or therapists to support individual child development programs
- Experience implementing therapeutic behavioural diets to support special needs children
General Qualifications
- Current Police Record Check
- First Aid Training
